Marriott partners with Go Instore to enhance and innovate offering for meeting planners
Marriott International, Inc. is a leading global lodging company with more than 6,000 properties in 122 countries and territories.
Marriott’s European Convention Network (ECN) is a hand-picked collection of 21 gold standard convention hotels across Europe. It is the only convention network that specializes in Europe, and targets large rotating meetings and events by offering 84,000m² of meeting space and 12,400 rooms.
Like many hospitality businesses they faced the challenge of how to capitalise on global web traffic in the research phase and maximise their lead to booking conversion rate utilising their strongest assets; the Marriott brand, the hotels themselves and the exceptional customer service delivered by Marriott associates.
Marriott International’s European Convention Network (ECN) partners with Go Instore. Through this partnership, meeting planners from around the world are given access to virtual live tours of meetings and events facilities of the ECN’s collection of 21 gold standard convention hotels in Europe.
Personalised and interactive
In line with the ECN’s aim to provide an efficient, cost effective and comprehensive service, the innovative service integrates the latest technology with a human touch, to provide previews of function spaces to enhance the booking process for meeting planners.
Marriott Associates are on-hand to use Go Instore’s real-time mobile technology to conduct personalised and interactive virtual tours using a live one-way video stream and two-way audio channel. Ensuring a streamlined process, the technology also allows real-time access to multiple sites in the same session.
Pauline Bronkhorst, Head of the ECN, said: “Many of our customers plan large annual or bi-annual events in different cities, and are unable to carry-out site visits in person – our virtual tours offer the perfect solution and planners can continue to enjoy personalised interaction combined with the benefits of state-of-the-art technology to make well-informed decisions on their venue choices.”
