Revolutionising how shopping centres drive footfall & online sales

Challenge

intu set us the challenge of trying to find a revolutionary way for them to use their existing offline assets including their shopping centres and personal shoppers, in combination with their shopping website intu.co.uk, to drive increases in on and offline footfall and sales.

Solution

In a first for personal shopping in European shopping centres the live video was streamed by GoInStore’s Live Broadcaster functionality using smart phone technology.

Live digital personal shoppers

The broadcasts we hosted by intu Lakeside’s personal shopper who gave a range of the centre’s shops and businesses, including Topshop, Debenhams and hair stylists Toni and Guy, a live digital presence on intu’s affiliate website intu.co.uk.

Real-time style advice

This helped shoppers get style and gift advice in the run up to Christmas, whilst being able to shop the items that were featured in the broadcast in real-time.

 

Results

  • The broadcasts generated a large increase in website dwell time and sales attributed to the broadcast.
