Smart glasses hit the high street

Dawsons Music is using new smart glasses from Go Instore to deliver an in-store viewpoint to online customers, in what is an industry first.

The wearable technology enables Dawsons’ customers who are browsing the shop’s website to be taken ‘in store’ in real-time, via smart glasses worn by sales staff.

Assistants are able to guide the customer in first person through the shop, and explore products using a one-way live video stream and two-way audio stream, in what is described as an “immersive visual experience”.
