Go Instore shortlisted in ‘Best Multi-Channel Experience of the Year’ category at the Retail Insider Transforming Retail Awards

Go Instore a UK-based creator of a pioneering shopping experiences for online customers, has been shortlisted for the Retail Insider Transforming Retail Awards. Go Instore’s technology innovation has been recognised in the Best Multi-Channel Experience of the Year category.

The Retail Insider Transforming Retail Awards showcase the best examples of innovation across the sector. Entrants are judged on three main criteria: innovation, measurable success and customer satisfaction.

Go Instore’s cloud-based retail technology allows customers to browse online and be taken in-store, in real-time, via smart glasses worn by sales staff, or smart phones combined with hand held stabalisation equipment. Visitors to retail websites simply click on the Go Instore button from any product page, which then launches an online real time video facility from which they are able to see ‘through the eyes’ of the assigned sales associate.

Go Instore connects  online customers to the people who can tailor a personalised shopping experience the best: the in-store experts. The service enables retailers to seamlessly match customers with the very best product expert to suit their needs. This enables retailers to maximise customer satisfaction and increase conversion rates both on and offline.

By facilitating live, immersive one-way video streaming and two-way audio connection between website visitors and in-store staff, Go Instore is empowering retailers to deliver an entirely new way to shop online whilst using bricks and mortar resources. The service is supported by Go Instore’s server infrastructure and artificial intelligence that can quickly analyse online behaviour and pass this valuable data onto in-store staff. This ensures online shoppers are connected to the representative best placed to serve them and address their individual needs and interests.

Commenting on the award nomination, Andre Hordagoda, Co-founder of Go Instore, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best Multi-Channel Experience of the Year category for the Retail Insider Transforming Retail awards. Our business prides itself in helping retailers to deliver a consistent customer omni-channel experience through our web-based, real-time, in-store shopping technology.”

“Go Instore integrates with the retailer’s analytics platform to record conversions that occur following interactions with the service,” added Hordagoda. “It also ensures that we can put a real business value on the increase in productivity of in-store staff, who use GoInStore to sell to online customers during quieter moments in the store. ”

The short listing follows recent successes for the business. Clients using Go Instore come from diverse markets including Axel Arigato in fashion, DFS Netherlands in furniture, Thomann in musical instruments and Porsche in automotive. The company is also attracting non-retail clients in the property and hospitality sectors including Marriott Hotels.

“It’s been a great year for us, working with the likes of Marriott Hotels, Porsche and Axel Arigato and we are excited to continue the success achieved so far,” said Hordagoda. “We are looking forward meeting other innovators in the retail space at the awards.”
